In hockey, the goalie is the brick wall in front of the net. With large pads and an even larger determination, the goalie’s job is to save the day and stop the other team from scoring.

In this hockey toy photo by Jumping Jack Productions, the team has captured the essence of the hockey goalie using camera magic, and a bit of Photoshop. Here is how the JJP team captured the magic on ice, with a toy:

  • one hockey goalie toy
  • a can of atmosphere aerosol
  • 3 heavy backlights
  • a 3d model of a hockey net and a hockey puck
  • shards of crushed ice cubes
  • their hopes and dreams

Jumping Jack Productions has taken toy photography to the ice with this first, of their hockey pictures. Jack and his dad have recently started getting into hockey and thought that photographing some of Jack’s hockey toys would be a blast.

After freezing a tray of water in the freezer overnight, the Jumping Jack Production Team got up early on a morning and headed outside into the 28 degree weather to start photographing. This is one of the awesome pictures that they captured.

Toy Photography is an exciting and fun adventure for the team at Jumping Jack Productions. However, every now and then you stumble across an opportunity to use toy photography to encourage someone else. Fellow Toy Photographer SirDork put out a challenge on his YouTube channel to bring awareness to a great organization called Pops For Patients, which is a group of people who bring Funko POP! toys to children’s hospitals across the world. The challenge was simple: Take a toy photography picture that includes a Funko POP! toy somewhere in it.

The team at Jumping Productions new exactly what they wanted to do.

Check out the picture below to see the encouraging picture that they created for the Pops For Patients toy photography challenge.

This was a project that we came up with based on a “Don’t Be A Bully” campaign that Jack was having at school. He thought this would be a great picture to encourage others to help people instead of hurting them. Therefore, be a buddy, not a bully.

We hope you enjoy!

Fortnine Dropping In for Victory

A Toy Photography Project by: Jumping Jack Productions

This Fortnite Toy Photography projects was the original project that the Jumping Jack Productions dad had for his son Jack’s 9th birthday party. He envisioned a picture of Jack jumping out of the toy Battle Bus and dropping into the fight. He wanted to create something that would inspire his son to always stand for truth and love amidst the battlefield of life.

One sunny afternoon, with the help of his nephew Joey, Jack’s dad started taking pictures of the Fortnite toys. Next he had Jack dress up in his own, custom Fortnite skin, and he took pictures of him. Combine that with a little Photoshop magic and the first of the two Fortnite Toy Photography pictures was complete.

The Jumping Jack Productions team is proud to bring you a picture that was not planned from the beginning of the photo shoot, but came together so nicely as an after thought. The idea behind this toy photograph was to imitate a famous Fortnite picture. Here is the image we started with:

A famous Fortnite image showing the different cartoon characters in battle.

With some toys laying around the house, the help of the nephew Joey, and a bit of creative imagination, we were able to create the next Fortnite Toy Photography picture titled, “Fortnine, Birthday Royale”. Obviously, there were some things that we had to change, and even some things that we added for fun. How well do you think we imitated this picture? Let us know in the comments below.
